A low growl was emited, but not from the thraot. The erupting sound had another source, one that spoke a story of deprivation. The sound was a stomach that was deprived of food, or nutrients. In this vast land of mists, prey was of little abundance.
The young raptor stared hungrily forward, little energy left in her limbs. But the female was a cruel one, even to her ownself. She had to finish her travels through this jungle of death, in order to reach a life worth living. Never would she give up on herself, holding her being at the highest value.
Just rest for a bit...The thought came unwillingly as Bhuvana bended her knees and laid herself down. A little sleep would bring her life back to her, it always did. She would push aside hunger, push aside health, for another day.
This was her life, and she didn't mind it. Death lurked around each tree, each riverbend, but it only added to her thrill in life. Because of her should be deaths, she had more desire to live.

A lone form stood amongst the bushes; his body partly hid. His breaths came slow and even, but they were too slow for normal breaths. The red form was motionless, aside from his sides heaving with his breaths and the occasional, slow blinking of his eyes. At first glance, if he was spotted, it would seem he was sleeping while standing; but no, he was awake. One might take him for hunting, but he was not in a hunting position. He was just standing there. Upon closer inspection, the next thing one would realize is his eyes, it would seem as if a flickering flame was burning within them.
Shetan heard a sound nearby, very near, but he did not even look to it. Perhaps he was waiting for it to find him; or maybe he just wanted to be left alone. The brute stayed quiet, not making a threat or a warning to stay away, but just stayed absolutely silent.

Eyes flickered open once more, the crimson orbs suddenly alert. No sound had been made by her nor anyone else; even the breeze lay silent. But she knew someone was there; maybe not watching her, but aware of her.
Wobbily at first, she climbed to her feet, long legs slender. Her long claw that was common for her kind tapped down on the ground a few times as the female thought. Should she speed away to a more secluded area, or investigate the lifeform? She chose the latter, knowing this creature could be much needed prey. It was likely, fore why would a predator not have hunted her down while she lay vulnerable on the ground?
The ground gurgled with each step, soils moist and soggy. It seemed an eternity for Bhuvana before she spotted the watcher. He, like herself, was a raptor. However, his looks were far different then hers, saying he must have been a different group of raptor. Bhuvana examined him silently for a moment; eventually deciding on Utahraptor.
Bhuvana was anti-social, and disliked all but herself, but this male knew she was here. She couldn't just turn and walk away, he could easily kill her once her backed turned towards him. Her voice was cold as she spoke a greeting of sorts...well, she actually started with an annoyed question, as if he were on her lands.
"What do you think you're doing here?" it didn't occur to her he may have been there long before she decided to use this place for rest. Even if that thought had crossed her mind, she would have reacted the same way, no respect for anyone.

Shetan knew he had been spotted before she said anything, but his posture did not change. His lonesome, fiery gaze did not meet hers either. He was silent, even after she spoke to him. At first, he just stayed in his same position and stared with a solemn gaze ahead of him. Why did she have to speak to me? It wasn't that he was mean or anti-socail, no, it was something far deeper... But he knew he couldn't just stand there and she would want an answer. Without meeting her gaze, as if hiding his own, he answered her question with slow words, as if he was so drained of energy he could not speak.
"I am thinking."
But despite his weak appearence... he was far from it. If she dared attack, he would spring to life, not neccissarily attacking, but at least showing he was bigger and more of a threat to her than she was to he. Still, though he was built to fight, he did not like to, and it was a last resort to him. Shetan still kept his gaze hidden from her veiw, afraid she may see into the real him.

The female almost snarled an order, demanding an answer. He had been silent for a few moments now, and Bhuvana was not a patient girl. Her claw clicked, like a human foot taps when annoyed or waiting. A low growl began to erupt, almost silent, but getting louder.
"I am thinking."
The answer came, and Bhuvana felt herself almost recoil. What kind of answer was that? Who just stands around so deep in thought? She took a confident step forward, unafraid, even if that was stupid for her not to be. This male could probably kill her, but that thought didn't cross the over-confident females mind.
"What kind of losers just stands around thinking?" those were the kinds of words that had gotten her kicked out of her pack as youngster. That, and her need to fight. But mainly it was her rudeness towards the alpha, and all the pack members. Apparantly she hadn't learned her leason.

The large brute remained silent and calm at her arrogant attitude. His movements were unchanged, eyes still focused on the ground before him. But despite his collected attitude, all hell was breaking loose from within him, and he was doing all he could to hold it back. If she wasn't careful, she would see the side of him that even he was afraid of...

Shetan felt the heat of his body rise bit by bit, but he held a lid on his temper for now. He would try his best to keep the beast within, and spare her any injuries, though it would seem by her attitude she needed someone to teach her a lesson in some respect. But Shetan was not wishing to be that one. At her words, Shetan was quiet for a long moment, and then slowly he turned his head towards her, his fiery gaze meeting hers; his gaze as if it was boaring through her without even trying. But Shetan was not trying to start anything, and he didn't want to start anything. With slow words like before, he spoke again.

Shetan's eyes lowered and he turned his head away from her, gaze lowering to the ground once more. He kept wondering what she wanted of him, and why her attitude towards him was so degrading. But he did not deny that he was a loser... as that word summed him up well and he felt quite like that. From being so put down by others, Shetan now felt it was certain he was a loser.

Bhuvana was taken aback by the calm reply. The male didn't show fury, or any emotion really. Tail tip flicking, Bhuvana stayed standing where she was. This male interested her, he was so strange. And unlike the others she dealt with, he didn't attack when she insulted. This could be fun...
But even though this would be easy cruelty for her, what was the fun in that? If this male didn't shoot back harsh retorts, why should Bhuvana even bother? Her interest turning into frustration, a frown apeared on her maw.
"You just gonna let me insult you? You one of those fools who allows everyone to work all over you? To use you?" her voice was cold and uncaring, as if she it didn't matter how the male responded. But really, she wanted a retort, some sign of life within his body.

Shetan could feel the air of her frustration, his eyes unchanging. He closed them, forcing back the strong desire to attack... to kill... to make her blood hit the ground as he screams of pain would echo through the jungle. He had to fight it; she didn't know. She just didn't know about him, or why he was letting her speak to him in such a way.
At her words, Shetan's eyes opened, hurt actually in his burning eyes. He looked to her again, remaining silent for a moment. She was being very persistent, but Shetan wasn't going to fight her... at least he hoped he wasn't. With what seemed to be great effort, the brute turned towards her slowly and took a step closer to her, but none of his moves were aggressive. They were just forced, as if he really didn't want to move. After a moment of silence, he retaliated to her words.
"Be glad I am letting you walk over me with your words."
Shetan lowered his eyes again, closing them as another wave of torrent rushed through him to just leap out and kill her. No... he was not a murderer, he was not a cold-blooded killer or a ruthless fighter, but it seemed she wanted him to be, or at least something like that. It seemed this fae was asking for trouble, but Shetan was not trouble. He turned away from her, actually turning his back to her, eyes closed. If she attacked him now, however, he would not hold back, as then, it would be self defense and he could kill for that reason.
