A young, almost adult, Pyroraptor walked cautiously through the wetalnds. He had managed to get off the dreaded island by setting adrift on a log as before, only he knew he was not home. Bandiar was his home, and Pod did not know this strange place. The red pyroraptor was travelling along the edges of the swamp, which was overflowing with water from the wet season. Pod knew it was dangerous here, especially with the crocidiles around, but he didn't know where he should be going. So, he walked quietly through the wetlands, his bright eyes survaying this strange and new world, wondering if there was anyone out there that would not consider him a meal...

The sound of something small running caught his ears and Pod shifted around to look upon it. At first, he couldn't see anyone, but it soon came to him. Pod cocked his head over to the side in curiosity. It looked like a smaller version of himself, only this one was a fae. Pod purred in his throat, curiosity rising in him. He had his head low to the ground, at her level, but there was still distance between them in case she was afraid of him. Pod took a step closer, his head still cocked to the side. He looked rather funny but he decide to greet her.

"Hello there. What's your name?"

Pod smiled at the youngster. She really was young, just above the years of a hatchling. It seemed she was prepared to run, so Pod made no further advancement for her. He had no intentions of harming her, especially since she was of his kind. It was the first time he had met one of his own since the deaths of his sisters, but he pushed those painful thoughts aside to try to relax the little one. In his kindest voice, he spoke.

"Nice to meet you Muddle. My name is Pod. What are you doing out here all by yourself?"

From the sound of her speaking earlier, he figured her speaking wasn't as well as his, so he spoke slowly so that she would understand easier and he waited pateintly for an answer. He found it strange for one of her size to be all by herself out in this dangerous place.

Pod smiled, glad she was feeling better around him. He would do no harm to her at all, she was too cute to harm. Pod loved kids, escpecially those of his own kind, and she was no different. But he was worried that she said she had got lost. Pod stood up, slowly so as not to scare her, and looked around for any who may threaten them, but saw none so he knew they were safe for the moment. The elder pyroraptor looked back at her, retialiating to her words.

"Lost? That's not good. Do you know where your home is? Or your family? Perhaps I could take you back."

Again, Pod kept his voice low and slow so she could understand, but he didn't even know if she had a home, or a family. But he felt he should ask in case she needed help getting back.

Sorrow filled his eyes at her words, sad that she had lost her family and was alone, like him. But when she asked if Pod could be her family, Pod was a bit taken back. He hadn't expected that... but Pod just couldn't turn her down. Muddle needed someone there for her, and it looked as if Pod was going to be that someone, not that he didn't mind. Her company may be very good for him. With a smile, he replied to her answer, his words slow and kind.

"Sure, I can be your new family. Come on, let's go explore this place, shall we?"

Pod turned in the direction he had been heading before his encounter with Muddle, and looked back over his shoulder, waiting for her to come beside him so she would be safe.

When Muddle was beside him, Pod was prepared to walk, but he sensed her worry. Pod looked down at her, comfort in his eyes. True, he was uncertain about this place, but he knew the wetlands were far dangerous than most other places. Pod lowered his head and nuzzled her side to comfort her.

"It's alright. I'll protect you. I'm not going to let anything hurt you, okay? Just stay right beside me and you'll be safe."

Pod smiled reassuringly, and start his walk along the edge of the water, though far enough away that no crocodile could leap out and grab them.
